Barney I Love You

Edit Posted by Admin with No comments
While everyone at home was shocked and saddened by Manny's loss to Marquez on the 8th of December, our little angel's eyes were glued to my computer, busy as a bee watching Barney with friends. Our shouts and the occasional jolts during the exchange of punches of today's greatest boxers seemed to be unreal for her - as if we were not there.

We intentionally let her watch the program because we would like, for once, watch Manny's fight with a hundred percent focus. We knew that Barney's dance moves and songs will tickle her imagination. Thus, crying over nothing or her way of attention grabbing won't happen. It's a proven fact that she simply stops whatever she's doing especially if Barney's "I love you" song is playing.

I guess children her age is starting to wonder and appreciate the kiddie sounds they hear and the colours they see. Just like Barney who happens to be a purple dinosaur having a funny voice and moves. When she's hungry and crying, we play Barney because hearing his voice helps in pacifying her, giving us time to prepare her milk. You may want to try playing the song to your kids as well. If they stop and listen, it can means two things. Either curious as to what the sound is and where it is coming from, or it simply passed their liking.
