Babies who are more than a year are now into imitation. They imitate how the sound is produce, how things work, and how their parents behave. This can be debated but from a father's perspective who has a one year and two month-old baby, imitation is becoming more evident even at this earlier stage. It's critical because what babies hear especially to parents who at times failed to control their anger, imitate not just the sound but facial expressions as well.
These things can be funny on the first, or even on the second try.

There was a time when Joyie, just to have a light conversation, pretended to smote me so we could see how Loureese will react. All of a sudden, the baby who was drinking her milk, stood up and smote me in the face. We were completely dumbfounded and looked at each other with our mouths wide open.
Remember the advert in the late 80's or 90's perhaps?
