Nine pregnancy products she can't live without

Edit Posted by Admin with No comments
I received an email from baby center again today. It was about nine pregnancy products pregnant women can't live without. When i clicked the link i was redirected to the post made by them and here's the excerpt i got.

When you're pregnant, sometimes it's the little things you can't live without. Whether it's a simple way to make your belly stop itching, something to get you through the night, or clothes that make it easier to move around, these basics make life simpler, calmer, and more comfortable for BabyCenter moms.

That made me think that this post should be read by Joyie. She's at work right now and so am i but i will inform her later at home. I think this is a must read by her. She might be feeling something, however, she doesn't know how to counter it yet. I'm sure this is very helpful.

And the nine products according to them are:
  • 1. Body pillow
  • 2. Belly support
  • 3. Morning sickness relief
  • 4. Pregnancy bra solutions
  • 5. Soothing skin lotion
  • 6. Fetal doppler
  • 7. Dresses, sweats, leggings, and yoga pants
  • 8. Slide-on shoes
  • 9. Wardrobe extenders
Below is the link to the post with testimonials after testimonials of the moms about the products.

The Baby At 6 Weeks

Edit Posted by Admin with No comments
My last post prior to this was about the website babycenter.com that our friend Shaney shared to us. Today, as i was browsing my email, i got a notification from the said website about Joyie's pregnancy. I signed up with them a few days ago and here it is, an email from them about the baby's development.

I can't imagine how the baby is developing in the uterus. But according to the email, the baby's nose, mouth, and ears are already taking shape. In fact, even the eyes and nostrils are forming with beating of the heart at 100 to 160 times a minute. Wow! A lot more are forming and i can't wait to see the baby.

The picture above was the screenshot of the email sent to me. :)

Introducing Baby Center

Edit Posted by Admin with No comments
Our dear friend Shaney, also pregnant with her little boy, chatted with Joyie yesterday November 22, 2011. She mentioned a website called babycenter.com where Joyie can read articles regarding preganant women, the do's and dont's, watch videos about different deliveries, and other related stuff.

So just before closing our eyes and fall into a deep sleep, she asked me if i can check the website and sign up. I was like, "Where the heck did you get that site?" She just insisted in opening it. There were couple of videos about the babies development in the uterus in different cycles, and the things they can do as they progress from an alien-looking creature to a normal cute little babies.

We watched how babies developed and checked some articles on how to take care of the baby. It was fun watching and we really learned a lot. We recommend this site to all pregnant women and to those who plan to be one in the future.

First Sign of Life

Edit Posted by Admin with No comments
A month after we got married Joyie started to feel very dizzy at most times. She also gets tired easily even doing minimal work at home. She said she might be pregnant but i thought otherwise. Since i have no idea how fast a woman would feel such things, i admittedly ignore the signs. I thought she was just being her - a natural born teaser.

A few days later she asked me to buy a pregnancy test. I was like "What's that in Thai?" Though i was still a bit skeptic, she was not. We decided to buy it together so we could explain things thoroughly. It was never a problem because the man in the counter spoke good English. One word - and he understood.

When we arrived home, we checked the label as how it was used. There was an English translation saying two red lines would mean positive, while only one signals negative. It was also best use if done in the morning because human chronic gonadotropin (hCG) is high, thus, early morning urine yields better result.
Positive, yeah?
The next morning, she put a little amout of her urine in a disposable plastic container, and placed the pregnancy test in it. Seconds after that, two red lines appeared. We were shocked when it changed right before our eyes. Who would not be? But of course we were happy :)

Thank you so much LORD for this miracle of the first sign of life.
