All about birthdays

The first, the second, the third, and up to the 8th month of our little angel's monthly celebrations of her birthday were all documented. Unfortunately, the succeeding months were not. We were busy preparing our stuff for our Philippine trip thus, her supposed 9th month celebration was affected. It wasn't forgotten, in fact, it was celebrated. But I was just out of tune writing new articles at the time. Same thing goes on her 10 month birthday. But as far as I can remember, there were more foods prepared on her 10 month because my mom celebrated her 59th birthday as well. Double celebration. No. Triple...including my mom's twin sister.

For the first time on her 11 month celebration, I was out making money for her milk :) I was invited as one of the facilitators in an English camp somewhere. 

Talking to her via Tango with her "ja, dada, mama, hi and choi choi" were all but music to my ear. Enough in sending me to 7th heaven.

And to give you a quick update as to what she can now do...

* She says "Hi" almost to everybody with a wave of her hand.

* She can utter daddy and mommy almost in clear perfection.

* She walks like an adult.

*She doesn't want to be carried and would rather walk as long as she can.

* And of course she eats like a grown up person in terms of volume. Lol

Happy 8th month Baby Loureese

Preparing the exams, proctoring other teachers' exams, English camp, and another activity training teachers in Sukothai for three days next week resulted to a late posting of Loureese's 8th month celebration. But thank GOD everything is now finished. We can now relax and not worry about what to teach albeit signing in everyday till the end of March is still the trend.

Nothing special happened actually, and we didn't send an invitation either. We did invite one of her godmothers though, Joan, because she happens to be living near the cake shop. What's her use if we can't ask her to buy a cake for us, right? Kidding aside as I don't want my ass to be kicked, she brought a cake for Loureese with few candles for free. Much thanks!

Of course it was but empty after a few minutes. We were like hungry eagles snatching each others' piece of cake. Loureese on the other hand was just contended with the little slice and was smiling whilst watching us make fun. 

We also talked about what to do on her first birthday bash which for us is just around the corner. Four months to go technically but it seems we are in a time machine that doesn't go back to the past. Instead it only propels fast for the future. And for the record, she can now stand without our help (she needs to cling onto something though) and she imitates those that are singing.

Me at Seven

The little angel we normally call "Loulit" since Thai often interchange "R" with an "L", and "S" with the "T" turned seven months old on the first of this love month. I met her paediatrician two days after the celebration and she was just as happy as I was. She then later asked me if Loureese can already sit without any support. I was like, "NOT YET"! And continued, "Is that normal?" I was relieved when she said it was normal and there's nothing to worry about. 

She also advised me that we can feed Loureese foods we normally eat like rice, soup and fruits. As expected everything was just as delicious for her. And just before the night of the celebration ended, we bought a chocolate cake for her with a number seven candle on top. Flashes of pictures here and there later followed.

Loureese at two

Yesterday was the second month of our little one. I thought we will cook some stuff to eat but settled in going out later instead. I guess people at home would like to have a breath of fresh air in its literal meaning. We had steaks and other Western courses at Central Plaza before heading to the grocery section to shop and to burn calories as well.

The celebration, just like on her first month, didn't end on the day itself alone. Today, we bought a chocolate cake and a bucket of chickens at KFC. Not special for others perhaps but definitely BIG for us. And now, while writing this post, people are having a good time singing along. 

I'll be singing next. This is for you little one. Daddy loves you so much!
